The Loboc River Cruise |
At the man made forest |
Last August, I had a trip to Cebu-Bohol with my mother, aunt and grandmother. I haven't been to Bohol ever since, and since it is my grandmothers 85th birthday my mother decided to book us to the famous Bohol Beach Club and of course a day tour to their famous landmarks and tourist spots in the island. I really fell in love with their beautiful long white beach shoreline, despite the resort being very overrated. But the good thing is, there are no annoying vendors or irritating passers-by that goes around to and fro. You can have a complete peace of mind at the same time enjoy the beach and the scenery.
The island itself has preserved so much of its history and protected its wild life and natural habitat. These are some of the notable places that you must not miss during your day tour. The Chocolate Hills, famous for its natural wonder, still number one on our list. I was left in awe when I got there myself, it's really beautiful and one of a kind. Your trip would be incomplete if you miss Panglao Island's beautiful white sand beaches, some are a bit pricey but it's worth the experience. You should definitely have your lunch at Loboc River (Cruise), let yourself be serenaded by their friendly locals and enjoy some good Filipino food, by the way it costs you around 350 php plus a terminal fee of 100 php. Bohol is also known for their Tarsiers, have a pic worthy pose with this little guy, unfortunately we are not allowed to touch them. Some of the notable places that we visited were the Baclayon church, The Blood Compact site of Legazpi and Sikatuna, the hanging bridge, the biggest python in Bohol or yet the Philippines Prony side by side with "Marimar's" lip-synching, Man-made forest and of course their pasalubong centers.
Here are some photos during our brief trip....
With my lola who just turned 85 with my aunt. This is the cage of the biggest python in the Philippines named Prony |

Some tarsier replica pasalubong sold around the island at affordable prices. Never leave Bohol without bringing some. |
