Enchanted

After a few months of not being able to do a themed shoot with my partner-in-crime Suzette Cachuela, the woman behind the transformation of our amateur models a.k.a. friends and colleagues, here we are again with our newest project done last weekend. My hands were itching so I thought I'd give our Canon 7D for a stroll. I've been loving the shots so far, and I am looking forward for to do more photo sessions in the future with my new baby (hehe).

The concept of this shoot was initiated by our self-confessed fashionista model, who really wanted to immortalize the goddess look. Although this is another first for me, I am so hyped up to do this shoot. I just so realized that my interest in portrait photography became now my serious hobby.

My favorite time of the day to shoot with natural light is during the Magic Hour, that is said to be the last sunlight for the day. A perfect time to capture enchanting photographs that in no possible way that these effect can be achieve by any other time of the day. As I said before that I am a sucker for vintage photographs, so capturing this set was something like a walk in the park. So be enchanted as Doting portrays timeless beauty in this bewitching drama.

Ruby Anne + Riel : Travel Inspired

I recently had a trip in Cebu City to witness the wedding of my niece Ruby Ann and her now other half Riel. Last year, we had an engagement shoot at Eden Nature Park, Davao City. I was so glad that the couple visited Davao and have had squeezed in the shoot during their brief stay here in the city. Since, this was a surprise shoot I wasn't able to post it earlier on my blog.

I made a simple pre-nup AVP, you might want to get inspired, so check it out. (hehe)

I love themed photo sessions, since the couple loves to travel, and that their wedding theme was all about TRAVEL, I incorporated few details to complete the travel theme look for their engagement shoot. Elements such as the beautiful nature backdrop, camera, map, and binoculars.

Congratulations to the wonderful couple, I am so honored to be a part during their very special day.
 More travels to come!

My own MAGIC!

This is my first time to attempt to shoot something stationary, taking on my baby steps to creative photography. I instantly fell in love with the outcome, need I say pwede na pang poster/magazine ads? Just my wishful thinking, hoping to make it big someday or maybe not. I just enjoy photography, I've been taking a lot of portrait shots lately, so I took a breather and experimented on Light Painting. Thanks to Jhay, a friend who introduced me to this technique.

I know my shots are still newbie-ish, I do hope I can better on my next attempt. Was also thinking of buying new flashlights..hmmm! I never thought this would be easy, but upon doing this you have to extend your patience because of the long-exposure setting and the many attempts you need to do to perfect or attain a certain shot.

I had a previous post on light painting with simple notes on how to do it,
you might want to check it out.
